These LUCC Method Workouts are great for a busy schedule.
Often times, we don’t have time for an hour workout at the gym. But we might have 30 minutes to workout at home with a couple of dumbbells. While I like to workout at the gym, I like the option to workout at home as well. With these LUCC Method Workouts, you can do them at home or take them to the gym. Having a plan to follow when you get to the gym is motivating and can boost your confidence when you walk in that door!
Here’s this week’s workout! Get more of them by signing up at the end of this post.
LUCC Legs!
What you’ll need:
**A pair of dumbbells or 2 full water bottles
**1 heavier weight, barbell plate, or medicine ball
**A space to workout
**A mat if you prefer
6 rounds:
12 Squats with weights at your side
10 Bent over rows
16 Overhead lunges with weight overhead
7 V-ups
10 Burpees no push up
Why each movement?
Squats: work a large group of muscles at once to help burn energy (calories). They help build your booty too. Having strong legs makes moving around in everyday life easier.
Rows: any time we do a pulling move, we’re working our back and biceps. This can be beneficial for pulling things down from a shelf and carrying groceries. Strong backs also help with posture and keep you balanced in the distribution of your strength.
Overhead lunges: a great booty and core move. When you have to carry something overhead, you use your core to keep you upright. Overhead moves also help build those sexy shoulders and help you put your own suitcase in the overhead bin. Lunges are great for that booty.
V-ups: these work your abs like crazy. They also help to build the deep core muscles which often get missed and can be weak as a result.
Burpees: a total body move to get your heart rate up. You could just do burpees, and you’d be able to get super fit!
I’d love to know how this workout goes for you. Let me know in the comments!
