Introducing EffiFit, health and self-care for the women killing it in their career, business, or empire building.
So What’s the Deal?
Schedules are hectic and work doesn’t always end by a specific time each day. As a recent entrepreneur myself, I’ve noticed the change. Always thinking about the business. Sneaking in time to work on it or in it while the boyfriend is gone. Much different mindset than when I was in a 9-5. Priorities have changed and so has my schedule. I’m charting whole new territory having always been one that really only worked the 8 hours a day I was supposed to. I’m sure you feel this way too, in your career or business. Always thinking about it and spending a pretty good amount of time working in it and on it.
I’ve always been into my health and fitness and wanted to continue with that for myself during my entrepreneurial journey. I found that it wasn’t as easy as before. I had to schedule the gym into my day when before, I just planned to go after work. Not having to think about it anymore, I’d made it a habit. Eating became a whole other animal (I wanted to make a joke here about eating animals, but I couldn’t come up with anything great).
I used to take breakfast with me to the office, would also pack a lunch (the majority of the time) to have at work too. Sometimes there’d be snacks. But working from home, there’s food around ALL day. I found myself eating a later breakfast, snacking just because food was there, eating lunch late, and then grazing until I went to the gym and after the gym before dinner. My eating was no longer a routine so I was just eating whenever and not listening to my internal cues about hunger either.
I felt lost, both in my business and my health. I needed a schedule, a plan to follow. A routine filled with habits. I can honestly say I neglected aspects of my health that I didn’t in the past. I was still exercising, but my eating was a mess and so was my self-care. I used to allow myself time off to de-stress, not work on the weekends, made time to get mani-pedis, go to the doctor, and even went to bed on time. I had it pretty much together until I changed paths and had to provide my own schedule and structure. I can imagine you feel the same way.
So you’ve hired a business or career coach and had great success but are looking for guidance on your health and how your health relates to the success of your business or career. Or you’ve neglected your health to build your empire and now you’re ready to take back your health, but you’re overwhelmed by all the information out there about exercising, nutrition, stress management, or anything health related.

Hi, I’m Atim Effiong, and I’m the face behind EffiFit LLC. I have a passion for health and fitness and use that as a way to share my skills and talents with the world. As a certified exercise physiologist, I’ve had success coaching difficult working populations with variable work schedules and environments. I find that consistency is key in any type of behavior change if you want to see the results you’re after.
I enjoy various forms of exercise with my most favorites being Crossfit, snowboarding (I’m just learning, but it helps me deal with the cold, winter weather here in Utah), and hiking with my dog, Butters. I enjoy traveling, I’m a big time football fan, and love all things HGTV. Did I mention I used to want to be an architect and interior designer? I still really love those things, and Chip and JoJo are my faves.
