Weekly Meal Plan #7: Appetizers is 5 delicious dishes to take to your next party. They’re all healthier options of some of your faves so you won’t have to eat it alone, but you’ll also have something to eat that supports your goals.
Appetizers are fun, but they can sometimes be a challenge when you’re eating to support your FitLife.
These 5 appetizers are new and different ways to eat some of your favorite party dishes and hopefully some new ones too. The Superbowl isn’t too far away. When my team (the Green Bay Packers) don’t make the Superbowl, I’m usually down to attend a party. But when they’re in the big game, you will not be seeing me. It’s way too stressful.
Sometimes parties can be stressful because we don’t know what they will serve and if there will be protein and veggies. My motto is to always bring something I can eat as well just to make sure. But other times, I just get the cookies and make it work with what’s available. When in doubt, protein and veggie it out!
Weekly Meal Plan #7: Appetizers
Skinny Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Dip by The Recipe Runner
I love dip. Anything with cheese really is high on my list of things I love. I like this recipe because of the use of plain Greek yogurt and the use of the slow cooker to get it done. Serve it up with some raw veggies.
Antipasto Skewers by The Sweetest Occasion
I like this one because it’s quick to put together and you can make it your own by adding more veggies, less meat, or more cheese. Small but filling.
Avocado Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip by Cooking Classy
I love to dip my veggies (and fries) in ranch. It’s just not something I’m willing to give up. If you also love avocados, give this ranch dip a try with the next veggie tray you take to a party. You will be the life of the party.
Skinny Bell Pepper Nacho Boats by SkinnyMs
I like to eat stuffed peppers for dinner, but this is a great appetizer idea. I also really love nachos, so this is a healthier alternative. Protein and veggies!
Skinny Buffalo Chicken Dip by Gimme Some Oven
Last year during football season, I made varying versions of buffalo chicken dip almost every week. I actually learned about this goodness from The Blonde Giraffe when I met her about 6 years ago doing Crossfit in Arizona when I was there for grad school. She got me hooked!
Which one will you take with you to your next party? Let me know in the comments.
