Happy 4th of July (and happy birthday to my mom)!

Quick and healthy very berry yogurt parfait

This recipe was inspired by the red, white, and blue that just screams ‘merica. Being new to blogging, I totally forgot that I should have a themed recipe for today. And in reality, I’m probably too late doing it today, but whatevs. I feel like America’s independence is celebrated all during July. And living in Utah, there’s also Pioneer Day on the 24th. Depending on where you work, it’s also a holiday! Oh yeah! So July is just a celebratory month.

For the 4th this year, I’m keeping it low key. Like every year, haha. But especially so because I’m going to Vegas at the end of the week for a bachelorette so I have to make sure my introvert battery is full. There’s going to be a lot of people (new people) and a lot of going out. I will say I’m excited to see and hang out with my friend tho, so that’s a plus! The 4th is also my mom’s birthday – Happy Birthday Mom! So I’m heading up to see her and have a BBQ with her and my dad. Maybe I’ll take these parfaits over with me. For my mom’s birthday, my dad usually grills up something fierce. Then we eat until we can’t anymore. With all of my sisters living outside of Utah, it’s just been me, Ryan, and the rents. Super low key like I like it.
