June Workout Plan: Week 4

with 1 Comment

June workout plan week 4 is the final week in our June workout plan. With the goal of staying activity during the summer without compromising fun, I’d say we definitely achieved it.

Did you miss the first 3 weeks? Here they are.

The best part of all of this? They require no equipment, so you can do them any time, not just June, and not just the summer months. But you may have to double up on one of the workouts or try a different type of exercise for the 3rd day.

I really love summer because of the endless options for staying active outdoors. From cornhole in the backyard to kayaking and hiking, there’s so much to explore. Sometimes just being outside enjoying the sun is enough to make me extremely happy. I think I really like summer because of the amount of sun. My mood is weather dependent. So I’m happiest in the summer time.

Some of my favorite summer/sunny day activities are attending BBQs, siting outside with a nice cool drink, hiking with Butters, and eating ice cream. I do love running outdoor bootcamps at the local parks to stay fit and active. I’m not a big outdoors person. I’ve never been camping, and I haven’t been to many national parks. I’m guilty of being from Utah and never going to the national parks here. I hope to change some of that in the coming months.

Are you ready for your June workout plan week 4? Here we go!

June Workout Plan Week 4 - no equipment needed

Warm up with 5-7 minutes of walking or jogging around the park.

Cool down with 5-7 minutes of walking around the park. Then stretch.

Rest 24 hours between workouts. You can always walk the dog, and do other activities on your non-exercise days.

Put your sunscreen on to protect your skin and your skin’s future! Working in a cancer hospital, I’ve become hypersensitive to this. I finally started wearing sunscreen daily myself. But also, I have dark spots on my face that I don’t want to get darker.

Don’t forget to drink water especially if it’s hot where you are. Staying and feeling hydrated is key to enjoying the warm summer months.
