Weekly Round Up #2

with No Comments

It’s officially fall! I love fall. #basic.

I never realized my love for fall until I moved to Arizona for grad school. There was no fall, at least not as noticeable as in Utah with the leaves changing and the hoodie and flip flop weather. So when I finished school, I moved back. Fall is beautiful. I love the changing leaves, the crisp morning air with the nice warm weather during the day. I do miss the long nights, no more taking Butters (my dog) for a walk after everything is said and done. But the best part of fall, FOOTBALL. I think you were hoping I was going to say pumpkin. Pumpkin is pretty great too. As I’ve recently learned.

SLC weather

This is literally what happened this week. It was in the 90s early in the week. Now the mountains have snow on them. I’m not ready for winter yet.

Anyway, this week was yet another epic one. The ladies in my Fall Into Fitness Sugar Free Challenge are killin’ it!

Before it all started, I decided to let them choose how sugar free they wanted to be. Why? Because they know their lives better than me, and they all have different goals. Some wanted to go 100% sugar free, some wanted to cut their intake by half. By letting them decide how sugar free they wanted to be, it gave them control and autonomy instead of being dependent on me and me putting them in situations where they wouldn’t be successful. They all have a different definition of what health and fitness looks like in their lives. I have no right to define that for them. What has been the most amazing part though, everyone has stayed in their own goal lane. There are women in there that haven’t had any sugar since we started and some who are at 50%. They’re doing what works for them and not comparing their journey to someone else’s. My heart is happy.
