Weekly Meal Plan #8: Soups gives you 5 delicious and healthy soups to eat when it’s cold out or when you just need some comfort. These soups all include a serving of your protein to help you build a strong body and reach those fitness goals.
I didn’t always love soup. I think it was because I ate a lot of the canned low sodium stuff that tasted like water.
And to be honest, I never made my own soup until about 3 years ago. I know, but it was just one of those meals that I thought was really hard and time consuming. Luckily I learned short cuts like chicken broth to save time but also get me loving soup again.
Here are 5 soups for the week. Pick a couple or one to make this week.
Skinny Chicken Tortilla Soup by Kim’s Cravings
This soup has so many veggies and definitely doesn’t lack in protein either. This one is great for meal prep to eat all week or freeze for later. You can add lots of yummy topping to your liking.
Spinach Sweet Potato Soup by Primavera Kitchen
I got in on that sweet potato craze and am still going strong (when my boyfriend is willing to play the game). I like this soup because of the all the protein and veggies, but also for the sweet potatoes that have some great benefits. This a is great soup for when you don’t feel well. And it’s super quick to make.
I loooove pho. Making it the traditional way can be time consuming. And sometimes I just don’t feel like going out to get it. I can’t wait to give this one a try. I’ll be adding some extra veggies to it to complete this one.
Spicy Sausage, Super Greens, Rice and Beans Soup by Yours truly
This soup is heavenly. It’s quick, easy, and you’ll get a well-balanced meal. Make it for dinner, and then save the leftovers for lunches this week.
Spiced Vegan Lentil Soup by Cookie + Kate
Lentils are really great because they’re a great source of protein and a smart carb. Not only that, they are great for thickening up your soups, making them heartier. Love all the veggies and protein in this one.
Which one will you try this week? Let me know in the comments.
